Biltmore Championship Asheville Grant Application


The Biltmore Championship Asheville is proud to launch this Grant Program, open from July 1 through July 31, 2026, for eligible organizations based in Buncombe County, North Carolina.

  • One grant will be awarded for a project and/or service that supports Conservation and Sustainability.
  • One grant will be awarded for a project and/or service that supports the Creative Spirit.

Conservation and Sustainability

The conservation and sustainability pillar supports initiatives that protect, preserve and enhance the natural assets that define the Asheville region. This may include, and is not limited to efforts focused on: land conservation, clean water initiatives, biodiversity protection, air quality improvement, carbon reduction strategies, preservation of working farmlands, waste diversion, recycling, circularity, food recovery, and materials management.

Creative Spirit

The Creative Spirit pillar celebrates and supports the stories of creators and makers who help define and differentiate the Asheville destination. This includes, but is not limited to, contributions across: food and beverage innovation, visual and performing arts, cultural and experiential offerings, and other creative expressions that enrich the community and historic preservation.


Before applying, please review the requirements below to ensure program eligibility.

Eligible organizations include the following:

  • Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
  • Government entities (law enforcement or fire departments) with a funding request to serve the public
  • Educational institutions (K-12 public, private, charter schools, and colleges and universities)
To be considered for funding, an organization must:
  • Operate and serve citizens in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Any organizations that reside outside of Buncombe County are ineligible
  • Practice and provide services without discrimination as protected by law
  • Have a non-profit, tax exempt classification under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
  • Provide services in at least one of the following categories: Conservation and Sustainability, and/or Creative Spirit
To confirm eligibility, we will check:
  • Current solicitation status in North Carolina
  • Nonprofit status in North Carolina
In this application, you will be asked to provide:
  • An IRS Determination Letter (the tax exempt form will NOT be accepted)
  • A 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 990
  • A 2025 or 2026 W9
Funds will NOT be granted for:
  • Individuals
  • Private foundations
  • Organizations that are grant-making bodies
  • Travel and conference expenses
  • Sponsorships, events or projects for which staff receive tangible benefits and privileges
  • Political Action Committees, political causes or candidates
  • Debt reduction
  • Gifts, honorarium, gratuities

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Two (2) grants of $10,000 will be awarded through this program to one organization focused in Conservation and Sustainability, and one eligible organization focused in Creative Spirit. Grants will be announced no later than September 30, 2026 and payment will be fulfilled by October 30, 2026.
  • You will not be able to save progress and return to this application, so please be prepared to complete it in it's entirety.
  • We do not provide feedback on the status of applications during the review process. Feedback is not provided to applicants who are not selected for funding.
  • Please submit only one application/request for your organization. Multiple applications for the same nonprofit will not be accepted.
  • Please upload all required documents; failure to do so may result in the application being ineligible.
  • Organizations selected for funding will be asked to provide periodic updates on the progress and outcomes of their funded programs.
  • The PGA TOUR no longer issues paper checks. If your organization can accept electronic payments (ACH transfer/direct deposit), please proceed with the application.
